Julie Canard

A native Washingtonian, Julie has lived in and around the District of Columbia her entire life. A personable agent who combines an enthusiasm for architecture, a spirit for volunteerism, and a loyalty to family, friends, and clients; she is a natural salesperson.

Julie stems from a family of successful realtors and developers who’ve inspired her in her career choice and hard-work ethic, and now two of her three children are following the same path of residential/commercial sales and real estate investment. She has been in the business for 40 years of full-time service to her clients. That she has so many repeat clients is a testament to a job well done.

Julie has garnered many awards for #1 in Sales and Listings, always with the prestigious WC and AN Miller Company Realtors, now acquired by Long and Foster Real Estate. Both companies are family-owned real estate firms. Currently, the Washingtonian Magazine recognizes her as a top producer for 2107, and she is in the top 1% of realtors nationwide.

A believer in the power of volunteerism, Julie has served as a Girl Scout leader, a Sunday School teacher, a docent at the Smithsonian, a volunteer in South Africa and on Indian reservations, president of the Potomac Rotary Inner Wheel, and president of the Hampden Square Condominiums. She currently serves as a director on the board of the Mount Vernon Belvedere Association, where she owns a historic 3-bedroom Beaux Arts-style cooperative.

Clients can count on the “1st-class white-glove” service she is known for.

Jerry Murphy

Jerry commands an insider knowledge of construction and residential development, having built custom homes for Helikon Design in Ocean Pines, Maryland. He also built and sold prestigious homes along 16th Street’s “Gold Coast” in Washington, D.C.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Jerry is a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore and Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina. Prior to his real estate career, Jerry developed a penchant for sales and management. He opened, managed, and trained staff for several fast-food restaurants on the Eastern Shore, some being the first in that region. He was a sales rep for Cantwell Cleary Paper and Packaging Company. As a result of the experience he gained, Jerry started and managed Shamrock Marketing Incorporated, a paper and packaging distribution company covering the entire territory of Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia. He sold the company in 2006 so he could devote full-time to his passion for real estate.

Like his wife and business partner, Julie Canard, Jerry believes in giving back to the community. He serves as a director of the board for 700 Washington Place, an upscale Beaux Arts co-op building in the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood. He also volunteers around the Mid Atlantic region performing in the Washington Scottish Pipe Band, the oldest Scottish Pipe Band in the United States.

With over 20 years in the residential real estate market, Jerry has consistently been recognized as a “Top Producer.”

Beth Canard

Beth started her real estate career in 1991, after graduating from the University of Maryland.  She began partnering with her mother at the prestigious firm of WC & AN Miller Realtors.  As a realtor, she has earned many awards for professionalism and sales volume. Beth is extremely well liked by all of her clients and colleagues, who get a smile just by the mention of her name! As a native of the area, she had her licenses in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.

Currently, Beth lives in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on the family Ocean Block, where she has built a home for herself and her five children, aged 13 to 18.  Having spent 40 years vacationing, and now as a full time resident, she knows the area like the back of her hand.

Beth is a member of the Sussex County Association of Realtors, the Delaware Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
